David is an experienced executive and non-executive director with businesses that operate in FCA and PRA regulated environments. His career has spanned a wide variety of business types within the general insurance sector, a journey which has been forged within large multi-national businesses, SME’s, owner managed enterprises and membership organizations, including setting up, growing and selling his own niche insurance intermediary.

David’s core skill is leadership and people development, positioning this as the fundamental bedrock for achieving business growth and wider corporate ambitions.

He currently participates in Risk, and Audit committees, having previously been Chair of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee for the UK arm of a large international insurance and assistance business.

David is qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and is also qualified as a Chartered Insurance Practitioner. He also holds a Diploma in Company Direction and the Certificate for Non-Executive Directors both awarded by the Institute of Directors.

David is an active member of the Chartered Insurance Institute where he has been recognised for his contribution across the insurance profession with the award of the International CII President’s Medal, the CII’s Distinguished Award and most recently their Lifetime Achievement Award.
